Long term goals, set forth by Rockwood Specialties Group, Inc. are to minimize and eliminate all work related injuries and to maintain the lowest possible impact upon neighboring and local areas. On an individual basis, the employees of Southern Clay Products, Inc. are expected to perform their duties according to a clear set of rules and regulations set forth by Rockwood Specialties Group, Inc. and SHE in a manner which will ensure their safety along with the safety of their respective co-workers. More specifically, each of our sites undergoes two annual inspections along with safety training by the Mine Safety & Health Administration (MSHA). The International Safety Rating System (ISRS) audits our safety management procedures each year.  This information has allowed us to see improvements and concentrate upon what is needed in the future to lower our accident and injury rate which is currently below industry average.
